The UK’s hospitals suffer from some of the highest rates of air pollution, partly due to their urban locations, but in part from the large number of diesel vehicles visiting – and often idling – outside.

Recognising the need for clean, healthy air in supporting patient recovery, and in response to demand, many NHS Trusts are taking advantage of available funding and installing EV charging and energy management infrastructure. Private hospitals and clinics have long recognised the demand and sought to install EV charge points for staff, visitors and patients.

Blink has worked with several Trusts to plan, install and operate EV charge points in their staff, visitor and patient car parks. We’ve also worked with them to help them transition their internal fleets to electric, installing chargers in depots and elsewhere to support their service fleets and visiting supplier vehicles.
